Riedia: Rewards & App

In January 2023, I embarked on an enriching internship journey as a UX/UI Designer at Riedia, in Stockholm. This opportunity not only allowed me to expand my knowledge but also provided a platform for improving my skills in the field.

During my time at Riedia, I had the privilege of working alongside professionals who guided me in navigating the field of UX/UI design. Collaborating on various projects, I gained hands-on experience and refined my abilities in crafting intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.

I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Riedia's design team and for the mentorship I received throughout my internship. The experience equipped me with a strong foundation in UX/UI design and instilled in me a passion for creating seamless and delightful user experiences.

Tools used: Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop

My role: UI/UX Designer designing the new rewards page from conception to delivery, improving an existing design for the app, and conducting user research.

Responsibilities: Conducting interviews, digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies and user research, account for accessibility and iterating on designs.

Starting the Design

Different from the projects that I did while studying, Riedia was already a live company with designs and pages published. I undertook a comprehensive study of the company's design ecosystem and competitor designs, setting a solid foundation for my contributions as a UI/UX Designer.

After that, my first task was to create a design for the new Rewards page, based on the brainstorming that the team already did before I started the internship.

Several tests and mock ups were done based on which platform the user will access the page and also thinking about the possibilities offered by the tech team, which helped me a lot alongside this journey.

After creating the page for the Rewards, the new focus was to make a call to this page in the newsletter.

App and User Research

During the internship, I developed more work on the app and in user research.

I worked with existing files, incorporating new pages and functionalities based on suggestions from my colleagues. After several iterations and improvements, we commenced user testing.

The version of the application with the adjustments and designs I worked on was launched in May 2023

At the end of my internship, the app underwent significant enhancements and transformations. The user interface was redesigned to achieve a modern and intuitive look, incorporating user feedback and industry best practices. The overall user experience was streamlined, with optimized navigation and improved functionality.

The application now boasts a visually appealing and cohesive design, with attention to detail in typography, colors, and spacing. User interactions were refined to ensure smooth and seamless experiences throughout the application.

Additionally, new features and functionalities were implemented based on a Qualitative UX research, we conducted interviews with 20 users, targeting international individuals residing in Sweden. This allowed us to gather insights into their opinions, problems, reasons, and motivations, which we subsequently translated into improvements for the app. These additions have significantly expanded the application's capabilities and improved its usefulness to users.

Overall, the final version of the application represents the culmination of the team efforts during the internship, delivering a professional product ready to meet the needs and expectations of its users.

Thank you for your time reviewing my work!
